String art with industrial robotic arm

String art with industrial robotic arm

This project follows the idea of creating string art by using an industrial robot. String art is a type of artistic technique where the graphic representation is obtained by braiding a large number of strings between defined points (nails). In this project, an algorithm is created to draw such a picture, also optimization for the number of threads and the quality of the obtained image is conducted, and a physical model was made utilizing a robotic arm. VisualStudio was used to create a Grasshopper component that provides the information needed for the RobotStudio software for final model production.
