Predrag Šiđanin

Predrag Šiđanin is a full professor at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad. MTD thesis (1995): A Computer Simulation Model of the TU District of Delft with use of the GIS and VR. Thesis is in academic area of GIS and immersive VR, Faculty of Architecture, TU Delft, The Netherlands. PhD thesis (2001): A Cognitive Framework for an Urban Environment Design Tool. Thesis is in academic area of urban design, artificial intelligence in cognitive science and OODBS, Faculty of Architecture, TU Delft, The Netherlands. Author of three books, five chapters in the books and more than 40 scientific papers treating various problems of architectural theories, informational-communicational technologies and interpretations and presentation of 3D space and its representations applied in different fields. Academic Award: URISA – Urban and Regional Information Systems Association Hoorwood Critique Prize – honorable mention, URISA conference, Chicago, USA, 1999. He is teaching students at basic academic level, master and doctoral courses subjects related to CAD, BIM, GIS and VR. Guest professor at the Faculty of Economy, University of Trieste, Trieste, Italy, 2005. Visiting professor at the Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Landscape architecture in Novi Sad (until 2014) and at the Faculty of Digital Production, Educons University, Sremska Kamenica (since 2013). He participated in couple international and one national project in the same field.
