NURBS (Non-Uniform Rational B-Splines) je industrijski standard za projektovanje i modelovanje povr\u0161ine. Posebno je pogodan za modelovanje povr\u0161ina s kompleksnim krivinama.<\/p>\n<p>Alati za modelovanje s NURBS-om ne zahtijevaju razumijevanje matematike koja proizvodi te objekte. NURBS je popularan jer je sa objektima lako interaktivno manipulisati.<\/p>\n<p>Tako\u0111e mogu se oblikovati povr\u0161ine pomo\u0107u polygonal meshes (SOLIDS). U pore\u0111enju s NURBS povr\u0161inama, polygonal meshes (SOLIDS) imaju slede\u0107e nedostatke:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Kori\u0161tenje poligona mo\u017ee ote\u017eati stvaranje slo\u017eenih zakrivljenih povr\u0161ina.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Iz razloga \u0161to su poligonal meshes sastavljeni iz vi\u0161e fiksnih povr\u0161ina, a veliki broj malih poligona je potrebno za glatku zakrivljenu ivicu.<\/p>\n<p>NURBS povr\u0161ine, s druge strane, se analiti\u010dki generi\u0161u.
