Ova konfiguracija omogu\u0107ava da se paneli <strong>vizuelno preklapaju<\/strong>, \u0161to zna\u010dajno smanjuje otvore kroz koje svetlost prolazi, ali pri tom <strong>ne dolazi do fizi\u010dkog dodira<\/strong> izme\u0111u panela, \u0161to olak\u0161ava monta\u017eu i odr\u017eava fleksibilnost sistema. Iterativnim testiranjem promenjeni su polo\u017eaji i dimenzije lepeza kako bi se postiglo maksimalno preklapanje i optimalna kontrola svetlosti. Ovaj \u0161ablon savijanja omogu\u0107ava da se materijal preklapa u vi\u0161e slojeva bez stvaranja otvora, \u0161to zna\u010di da bi membrana mogla potpuno da zaustavlja svetlost tamo gde je potrebno. U kontekstu na\u0161eg istra\u017eivanja, Miura Ori bi mogla da pru\u017ei <strong>zadovoljavaju\u0107e rezultate<\/strong>, pobolj\u0161avaju\u0107i funkcionalnost i estetski dojam panela, dok istovremeno zadr\u017eava fleksibilnost i prakti\u010dnost izvo\u0111enja. Me\u0111utim, rezultati nisu u potpunosti zadovoljavaju\u0107i jer <strong>hipoteza je bila da membrana uop\u0161te nema otvore<\/strong>, a to metoda lepeze jo\u0161 uvek ne omogu\u0107ava. Na osnovu ovih saznanja, nova pretpostavka je da primena <strong>Miura Ori metode savijanja<\/strong> mo\u017ee dovesti do re\u0161enja koja \u0107e ispuniti ovu hipotezu, stvaraju\u0107i membrane sa potpuno zatvorenim povr\u0161inama i ve\u0107om fleksibilno\u0161\u0107u.
