The Origami Theater project was created within the Digital Fabrication course as a result of the international cooperation of three universities and two large organizations in the field of culture and art with the aim of encouraging the creativity of young people and generating new public spaces in a city that will be significant places of socialization . The project was attended by students, researchers and teachers from the University of Novi Sad, Banja Luka, as well as visiting professors from the University of Graz who led the project. Unlike conventional teaching approaches, the Origami Theater project was developed through a workshop in which students, besides new theoretical knowledge, develop new ways of thinking, designing and using materials.
The goal of the project is to create a recognizable identity of the site using traditional materials designed in a completely new way. The Origami Theater project is a stage that is unique in the world by combining new building technologies materialized in a massive wood using the most modern construction assemblies.
The project is attended by Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Technical University of Graz, Faculty of Civil Engineering in Banja Luka, Organization Night of the Theater and organization Exit Fest.
The Exit Music Festival, which will be hosting this year’s Night of the Theater event, supported the initiative of architecture students and teachers of the Master program through the idea of creative energy being directed through a project for the mobile theater stage where will perform theater groups from the country and abroad during the Exit festival.
