The city stadium in Vršac does not have a canopy over the stands, which results that inhabitants are visiting games and events in the stadium only during ideal outdoor weather conditions. One of the important factors that is taken into consideration is the wind that blows in the territory of Vršac 200 days a year. The goal of the project was to generate a canopy that is adaptive and whose shape is optimized for the effects of the wind. Also, the principle of the double layer of the membrane was applied in order to further increase the resistance to wind and to prevent rainwater underflow.
